Imani Revival Prayer Initiative
“They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.” Acts 1:14
All of us long to connect with someone who can identify with our circumstances and share in our day-to-day life. Prayer is just that - a personal experience and intimate connection with our loving Heavenly Father. The Imani Revival Prayer Initiative is to help us collectively develop moment-by-moment prayer life that God desires for you to experience. 1 John 5:14-15 says, "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of Him."
Each week we will provide a weekly prayer initiative for Imani to be on one accord.
March 2010
Sisters, this month, let us pray with a daily focus. As we noted, last month, God did an amazing thing in Isaiah’s life that day when he encountered the Living God. It seems that Isaiah didn’t expect what happened, but He had the presence of mind to respond appropriately. How about us? How might we respond if God supernaturally invades our lives when we pray this week? Think about it! Monday Pray for an increased love for the lost Tuesday Pray for love for our fellow Christians Wednesday Pray that our love for the Lord would increase Thursday
Pray this Scripture with us today: Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. (Ephesians 5:1-3 NIV)
Pray this Scripture with us today: Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. (Romans 12:10 NIV)
Pray this Scripture with us today: Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.” (Matthew 22:37,38 NIV)
Pray for a deeper understanding of God’s love for us
Pray for those who do not know the love of Christ
Pray this Scripture with us today: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38, 39 NIV)
